Strongman's Form Continues At Shane McPhee Memorial

press release

Country Series round 1 in Junior National Light saw a field of 21 karters battling it out for the honours on the weekend with many South Australians making the trip across the border.  One South Australian in particular had the pace - Luke Marquis as did Mitch Wilson, but the Karcher sponsored Arrow Kart of Damon Strongman was unbeatable in all 3 races.

Race 1 had Damon Strongman starting out of 14th and coming through the field to take the win with Luke Marquis in 2nd and Mitch Wilson in 3rd.

Race 2 was much the same with Strongman starting out of 8th position and taking the win ahead of Like Marquis and Mitch Wilson.

Race 3 started with Strongman out of pole, Luke Marquis 2nd and Mitch Wilson out of 3rd.  Going into the first corner there was a huge shunt from behind sending Luke through the grass, but he made it safely back onto the track, although a fair way behind Strongman and Wilson.  Mitch Wilson found some extra pace for the final and took the lead from Strongman.  The 2 karts were virtually glued together for the rest of the race.  On the last corner heading for the chequered flag Strongman slid the kart in under Wilson and took the lead and the chequered flag.

Damon would like to thank Karcher Australia, Adam Macrow Engines and Arrow Karts, and the South West Kart Club for putting on a great event.
