Represented in six classes, KZ2, Junior MAX, Rotax Light, Leopard Heavy, Clubman 150(kg) and Clubman 170(kg), the DR Karts were fast right off the blocks with both Aaron Wilamowski and Scott Taylor claiming the two series bonus points that come with pole positions in qualifying.

A DNF in heat one hampered Wilamowski’s assault however he hit back strongly to win heat two before claiming the victory in both finals.

Scott Taylor was the one to beat in KZ2 and showed the field the fast way around as he recorded a clean sweep of victories. Fellow Team Adrenaline driver Rowan Booth finished fourth in the final.

After qualifying second, Leigh Cocker also suffered a DNF in his opening heat in the Leopard Heavy class but showed true grit to strike back to be triumphant in the three remaining races.

Junior MAX saw the team represented by Josh Angus in his debut in the class. Qualifying was tight with the top four drivers separated by a mere tenth of a second with Angus fourth fastest. After showing some early nerves the DR pilot took second in his opening heat before greeting the chequers first in the next encounter. From there he rounded out the weekend with a pair of strong second places in the finals.

The team’s fourth victory came in the Clubman 170 class with David Brewer Snr also recording a clean sweep while in Clubman 150 Alex Baker and Peter Zacaria finished third and fourth.

Notable mentions go to Errol Hussein and Andrew Harpas in Clubman 150 for great results during the heats and showing some real speed in the final before a DNF ended both their weekends.
