NSW Speedway Kart Club Announces 2011 Corporate Partners

press release

The New South Wales Speedway Kart Club is honoured to be in a position to announce the corporate partners that will be supporting the Club and its members throughout the 2011 season.

This year the Club is excited to have some long term supporters back on board together with new  and returning partners.

The Club is very proud to have the Western Sydney-Vineyard based Wescranes organisation as a partner for 2011.
This will be the third year that business owner, Graham Hart, has  supported the Club via his business and this season Wescranes will not only have its name attached to the newly formed KT Modified Pro Class, the company will be the naming rights sponsor of “The Masters” race which is Round 4 of the Championship held in June.

Also this year, the Club is very privileged to host the 2011 AKA Australian Speedway Kart Titles in September and it is an honour to announce that Wescranes will also be the major sponsor of this event.

The Australian Titles are 1 of speedway karting’s most prestigious races and to have a supporter like Graham Hart and Wescranes as sponsors of this special meeting is very fitting.

2011 will see the Wollongong-based Fire Service Plus company as a first year sponsor to the Club and the company will be supporting the very competitive Junior Class throughout the year.  Fire Service Plus will also be the naming sponsor for Round 3 of the 2011 championship on 8th May.  The company is owned and run by the Caunt family who have  three family members racing in different divisions and the Club is grateful for their support.

Another family-based partner for 2011 is the Coghlan Oval Track Racing Team.  This year will be the 2nd year that COTR has supported the Club as a sponsor and will continue its involvement as the sponsor of the Midget Class.

The Coghlan family has a team of six karts which compete at each meeting and there committment to the sport is a credit to the family. This level of support by both racing and sponsorship is welcomed by all NSWSKC Club members.

Apart from the financial support, team principal Cameron Coghlan also organises, through Mulgoa Quarries, to have a water truck available which ensures all meetings run smoothly.

A name that is entrenched in Australian speedway history is Sid Hopping. This year will be the 6th year that his family business, Hopping’s Mowers, which is based in Rydalmere, has been a valued supporter of the Club.  Each  year Sid and Marleen Hopping have been  happy to continue supporting the Club and Sid is always quick to point out its value to the growth of mainstream speedway with so many of today’s race car drivers having done their “apprenticeship” through the Club.

The KT Modified Light Class will again be sponsored by Hopping’s Mowers through the 2011 season and the Club is very proud that a man of Sid’s stature in the sport continues to support it and its members.

This year the Club has a newly formed sponsorship team made up of returning sponsor, Karting World, and a new sponsor, Sayre Racing.

Karting World, based in Narellan, had been a sponsor of the Club in the past however, with a change in ownership, the new Management decided to take a leave of absence; however, with the influence and support of Sayre Racing, the Club is thrilled to welcome them back and thank them for their support.

The other partner of this sponsorship team is the family-based Sayre Racing Team.  This team is made up of three drivers and the family has been supporters of the Club and its activities for well over six years.

The partnership of Karting World and Sayre Racing will be supporting the Rookie Class and will have the naming rights for the forthcoming “The Nepean Open ” race which forms Round 2 of the 2011 championship season.  In addition Sayre Racing will again be supporting the annual Celebration Day held in April by supplying a prize for “The Team Of The Year “.

The Club is again honoured to have long term member and sponsor Rod Bright and his business, ST Signs and Designs, supporting the racing and activities of the Club throughout the year.  The Club’s signage is supplied by Rod and a number of the impressive body designs on members’ karts have been designed and produced by his company located in Seven Hills.

Again this year the St Mary’s-based automotive company owned by Club members Les and Kay Green, On Track Automotive, will be sponsoring, at each race round, the Hard Luck Award.  At the end of each day’s racing, the driver who has had a day they would rather forget (through bad luck or other forces) is chosen and his/her name goes into the end-of-season draw for a brand new engine supplied by Les and Kay. This is a very generous offer and one that is very much appreciated by Club members.

Another sponsor that supports a member at each race round is Gavin Skene via his business, Stillshots.com.  At the end of each meeting Gavin randomly selects a driver from the day’s racing who will receive an artwork designed and donated by Gavin which will be presented to that driver at the next race meeting.

Gavin is one of the sport’s leading photographers and artwork designers and his images help promote the Club to the general public increasing the awareness of the NSWSKC.

The Club’s marketing and sponsorship manager, Mark Richards, is still working on securing more supportive partners and as these come on board with the Club another release will follow.

All contact information of the Club’s corporate partners can be found in the Sponsors’ section of the website at www.nswskc.com.au .

The Executive of the Club would like to extend its gratitude to these wonderful organisations and family-based teams for their continuing support.

We would encourage all members and speedway followers to ensure that, when you are in the market for products and services provided by our sponsors, you remember the support you receive and in return support them.
