Mitchener To Head Back For Another Bruno Grana Trophy

Lee Mitchener will head back to Europe this June to compete in the Bruno Grana Trophy. The Melbourne karter won the event last year in the X30 Gentlemen's Class and will this year race the X30 Light Category.

He will be one of several (as yet un-named) Australian drivers to contest the meeting at the Circuit International Lavelanet in France.

The 2nd edition of the X30 Challenge Italy, the championship promoted by IAME and dedicated to the Parilla X30 engine, will start on March 6th from the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli (SA). Being widely known over the World and thanks to its reliability, ease of use and high performance, the X30, introduced in Italy in 2010, has immediately achieved the positive favour of the Italian drivers.

The format is simple: 3 categories:
Junior, Senior Light, Senior Heavy, depending on age and weight.
1 type of engine only: the Parilla X30, Standard or Junior version, strictly original.
1 set of tires for each event: 
FREE chassis: with CIK valid homologation

2011 NEWS
4 Regional Trophies have been introduced starting from this edition, including the NO, NE, Centro and Isole macro areas, with 5 races each and separate standings.

Each driver has the chance to join more than one Regional Trophy and run for more than one Regional Champion Title. The only requirement to enter each Regional Trophystanding is to take part at the final race of each Trophy. All drivers who have joined at least two races of the Regional Trophies, will be eligible to attend the National Final.

THE FINAL AND THE PRIZES
On the success achieved in the 2010 edition, the Italian National Final is confirmed on the prestigious Circuito Internazionale di Napoli, on November, 20th.

The prizes for the best classified of each category are as well confirmed:
1st classified of each category: a KF3 chassis (DR, Top Kart or Zanardi)|
2nd classified of each category: a IAME Parilla X30 engine
3rd classified of each category: a 1,000 Euro bonus voucher for IAME spare parts
4th classified of each category: Receives a set of tyres

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS - LEE MITCHENER WILL BE HEADING OFF TO FRANCE AGAIN SOON TO COMPETE IN X30 CATEGORY

Beside the X30 Challenge in Italy and its many corresponding in other Countries all over the World, IAME promotes also the Bruno Grana Trophy: an International Race that will be held in June on the Circuit International Lavelanet (France); the categories on the grid will be: X30, X30 Gentleman and X30 Shifter TaG, this one dedicated to the new Parilla engine with gearbox and electric starter.

Australia's LEE MITCHENER was the winner of the X30 Gentlemen's Class in France in 2010 and will be competing once again for Australia in 2011 in the X30 Light Category amongst other Australian drivers who will also make the trip.
