Karting Decisions From World Motorsport Council

The CIK-FIA has published a set of guidelines for Historic karting. The karts used in historic karting events are divided into classes with or without a gearbox and various engine capacities, into the following four groups:

  • ClasCIK I: Kart and engine originally manufactured between 1956 and 1963
  • ClasCIK II: Kart and engine originally manufactured between 1964 and 1971
  • ClasCIK III: Kart and engine originally manufactured between 1972 and 1976
  • ClasCIK IV: Kart and engine originally manufactured between 1977 and 1984.
