JMAX Impresses Under Lights at Oakleigh

Junior Rotax was the stand out class In Juniors at the Oakleigh Go Kart Clubs February Clubday with a star studded field including Reece Bloomfield, Liam McLellan, Jake Klein, Thomas Mayer, Matthew Lane and new comer Jamie Macdonald.

It was Reece Bloomfield who took out heat 1 with some very close racing between Liam Mclellan Matthew Lane and Jamie Macdonald. Jake Klein failed to finish but showed very fast times in the practice session.

Heat 2 was one of the most exciting races of the night with the lead changing on numerous occasions. The racing was way above the age of the competitors with Liam McLellan winning on the last lap from Reece Bloomfield and Jake Klein hot on his tail. All 3 drivers were within 2 tenths of each other showing how close the racing is in JMAX with the new CNC Barrel engine.

Heat 3  was eventually won by a very fast Reece Bloomfield followed by Liam McLellan Jake Klein, Matthew Lane, Tom Mayer and Jamie Macdonald. It was Jamie's first time in a JMAX and he was excited by the chance to race with the other drivers. So the podium was full with Reece Bloomfield 1st, Liam McLellan 2nd and Matthew Lane 3rd.

The Oakleigh Go Kart Club has found sponsors that gave away a set of MOJO tyres as a random draw for the competitors of JMAX and this was won by Jake Klein. Jake would like to thank the club for the tyres and also looks forward to racing JMAX at Oakleigh next Month.

The Club also announced that they have new sponsors on board for the JMAX class and will have giveaways at every Club day this year including 10 sets of MOJO Tyres. With the interest in JMAX growing and the close racing Oakleigh are expecting a lot more drivers to enter the next clubday on Saturday the 26th of March.
