Return match for the WSK Master Series. The WSK Master Series goes to Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia, Italy) for a recovery weekend in the 5 competing classes at the start. Situated 16 km from Pavia, Italy, and on a 1256-metre long racetrack just in the middle of the typical lake area of Pavia, the Circuit 7 Laghi is locating the second round of the season with more than 240 drivers of 40 nationalities.

Paolo De Conto leader in KZ1, the class of big aces. Dominating the Final at the “premiere” in Muro Leccese, Italian Paolo De Conto (Energy-TM-Dunlop) reaches Castelletto as KZ1 leader with a 15-point lead over Belgian Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop). It is the same lead that Dreezen has over his teammate Italian Marco Ardigò. However, KZ2 winner at the WSK Master Series 2010, the blonde Dutch Beitske Visser (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) as well as outgoing Super KF champion at the WSK, French Armand Covers (Kosmic-Vortex-Dunlop) might join in the challenge with the top three drivers. Changing class, both the latter are expected to counter.

Marco Zanchetta leads KZ2 pack in Castelletto. Winning in Muro Leccese, Italian Marco Zanchetta (CKR-TM-Dunlop) is relatively safe at the top of KZ2 ranking above his countryman Riccardo Negro (DR-Parilla-Dunlop). The winner of the first final in Apulia, Swedish Jesper Wernersson (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) is nevertheless closer and quick to contend with the two top drivers for the leadership.

Stefano Cucco is KF2 surprise. Dominating at the opening in Muro Leccese, Italian Stefano Cucco repeated himself at the WSK Euro Series in Sarno. In either case, Cucco won both Pre-final and Final and now leads the two series’ rankings with a perfect score. Such an introduction gives some measure of how much demanding the task is before both French Victor Sendin (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) at 35-point gap from the Brithish leader Sam Macleod (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), third at 59 lengths. On the circuit in Pavia however, two further protagonists of the Final in Muro Leccese are expected to recover too, they are Belgian Sami Luka (Energy-TM-Vega) and Italian Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR-Parilla-Vega).

Callan Okeeffe holds the first KF3 leadership. Class KF3 has a clear leader in Callan Okeeffe (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), who wrapped up the leadership in the ranking thanks to a double victory in Muro Leccese. Like Cucco in KF2, also Okeeffe is at the top of WSK Euro Series  along  with  French  Esteban Ocon. In Castelletto, the drivers below in the ranking, namely Spanish Pedro Hiltbrandt (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) and Danish Slavko Ivanovic (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) are ready to launch their attack on the leader. Scoring well at the first round, Italian Antonio Fuoco (Top Kart-TM-Vega) and Dutch Max Verstappen (CRG-Parilla-Vega) are very pugnacious too.

Call on Billy Monger for recovery in 60 Mini. In Castelletto, with a starter pack of well 90 drivers from 30 countries, English Billy Monger puts 60 Mini win skilfully achieved in Muro Leccese at stake. Both the winners of the two Pre-finals in Apulia, Turkish Berkay Besler (Top Kart-Parilla-Vega) and Russian Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart-Parilla-Vega) are the first to shoot for success as well as two further drivers mounting the podium at La Conca, namely Spanish Eliseo Martinez (CRG-Parilla-Vega) and Italian Alessio Lorandi.

The polemen of today. At the end of the official timing of today, the best times were signed by Italians Paolo De Conto (Energy-TM-Dunlop KZ1) and Marco Zanchetta (CKR-TM-Dunlop KZ2), Russian Pavel Rudakov (Tony Kart-BMB-Vega KF2), Danish Lasse Sorensen (Birel-BMB-Vega KF3) and Romanian Marcu Dionisios (Top Kart-LKE-Vega 60 Mini).
