Shake Down Sees Klarich Fired Up For CIK

press release

Jake Klarich has shown he will be no easy beat this weekend at round 2 of the CIK Stars of Karting series taking place at Bolivar Raceway in South Australia, following a stellar event at the recent shakedown meeting at Cockburn Raceway in WA for the Nationals later in the year.

Klarich showed his true talent following issues presenting him with a challenge to break into the front group of runners before the finals of the weekend. A fuel issue, whose true source was never identified, plagued the team, pushing them to the back of the grid for the later events.

Jake said, "We were really happy with how the weekend turned out in the end after a fuel problem in all three classes which put us down the field on Saturday."

A 1st place in Junior National Heavy in a Monaco Kart, and 1st in Junior Clubman onboard a Lenzo Kart while starting on pole for the final in both events added up to a superb weekend. These results were on top of a 7th in Junior National Light that would have been a higher finish if it weren’t for being taken out in the first lap in the Luxor Kart.

"I would like to thank Lenzo kart Australia, Super Rooster Toowoomba QLD, MI Constructions and Condo Cartage Contractors for all of their support. Also Kip Fosters Kartforce for the great engines and the team for their top effort on the weekend" said Klarich.

Jake will now turn to Round 2 of the CIK Stars of Karting series that will see Australia’s best young talent pipped against each other, with him taking on fellow stars such as Joseph Mawson, Pierce Lehane and Renee Gracie. Jake outlined, "We finished third at the first round of The CIK Stars of Karting Series so hopefully this weekend we can maintain our pace at Bolivar raceway."
