Dirt Kart State Titles In Busselton This Weekend

For the first time in four years the West Australian State Dirt Kart championships will be run by the Busselton Kart Club at the Gordon Road circuit this Friday night through to Sunday, April 15-17.

170 nominations from around Australia will be there to contest the hottest championship so far this season. Busselton Kart Club members are in good form going into the event.

Senior and Junior 'J classes will run and the 'J Open class will feature some Busselton talent in Hannah Diblasi & Katie Etheridge. These two girls will be out to mix it with the boys and should feature in the end results.

The junior classes will have a number of local BKC kids represented. In the J Light category, brother & sister combination Demi & Jai McKenzie, as well as brothers Aaron & Nathan Chalmers, will take on the best WA has to offer.

The J Heavy class will be one of the hottest fields on the weekend. Fresh from his recent victory in South Australia, Joe Chalmers should feature prominently. Gemma Wettinger and Jarrod Bevan are also expected to do well.

Current Australia 1 in KTH class, Daniel Coleman, will be the hard charger to beat. Daniel always seems to find form come championship time, and he is known in the sport as a big race specialist and will be looking forward to the challenge.

The KT Medium class will feature some of the best in the nation. South Australian Ben Brown will be taking on local Joel Etheridge. Adrian Haywood from the Great Southern Club, plus interstaters David Carathures & Jarrod Moore (SA) ensure there will be plenty of hot action.

Racing is from Friday afternoon at 4.00pm till late, Saturday from 10.00am & Sunday from 10.00am.

Entry to spectators is free, so get down & enjoy some hot local & interstate dirt kart racing action.
