State Champ Revved Up For Nationals

press release

There has been much talk about the intensity of the Blue ribbon Clubman Heavy Class at this years AKA National Titles in Western Australia.

Whilst much has been focussed on the more established champions Matt Wall, Remo, Hrynuik, Mitchener and local Aussie Champions Foster and Fitch, there’s one driver keeping under the radar.

Adam Levi, a protégé of Kip Foster, crept up and won the WA State Title from his more fancied rivals and in the recent shakedown meeting came from ROF to seventh setting the fastest time in the final. Since then his new Monaco has been going even faster and he is quickly looming as a favourite.

Kip Foster has looked after Levi for some years taking him to an Australian Junior title last time the Nationals were in Western Australia and has nothing but praise for his young charge.

“Adam is the quiet achiever, he works hard with me in testing and our times are basically identical. As a uni student he doesn’t have the budget to race in the Eastern States, so although he lacks race time with this type of quality, his calm demeanour will ensure he isn’t overawed by the opposition. In fact, he’s beaten both Remo and I on a number of occasions.”

Levi has the benefit of working closely with Kip Fosters Kartforce on the set up of the latest Monaco chassis and with Foster, Remo and Levi all having identical equipment they collectively have a lot of data.

“Having the benefit of so much experience helping me has been great but I don’t expect the guys will be too helpful at the nationals” quipped Levi.
