Day Added To Superkart Champs Round 1
Due to the large number of entries for the Shannons Nationals Eastern Creek event, it has become necessary to extend the event by a day. As such, compulsory Official Practice and Qualifying will now be conducted on Friday, July 15.
The circuit will now also be available for non-compulsory private practice on Thursday, July 14.
"SKA understands that these arrangements may inconvenience competitors, so the earliest notice is given so that you can adjust your planning and make the appropriate arrangements to suit the updated event timetable" Superkarts Australia advised KartSportNews.
Provisional scheduling for Superkarts at the meeting:
- 3 x 20min practice sessions on Thursday 14th
- Practice and qualifying sessions on Friday 15th
- Two Races on Saturday 16th
- One Race and the Final Race on Sunday 17th
Due to the size of the race meeting, Shannons advise all trailers must be parked away in the raceway trailer park.
"No trailers will be allowed in the carports or behind them. SKA suggest that competitors plan for this so that dependence on trailer mounted equipment does not affect their pit arrangements".
