Visser Back On Podium With French KZ2 Win

press release

The top step of the podium was beginning to escape Beitske Visser a bit too often. At 16, the Dutch girl is more determined than ever to reach the goals she has set for herself, year after year, race after race. She has provided ample proof of it by winning again in KZ2 at the meeting of the BNL Karting Series organised in France, in Ostricourt. With two pole positions and three victories out of four finals, Beitske Visser (Praga-TM) staged an impressive performance on 21 and 22 May.

But between the two rounds of the WSK Master Series, Beitske did not twiddle her thumbs. Announced among the favourites, she did more than simply play her role by putting a dominant stamp on the competition at the BNL Karting Series for two whole days. She also suffered a small disappointment during Saturday's first final. "I conquered the pole position in time qualifying and I was managing the race comfortably when the engine broke suddenly, with only three laps to go! This season I have had problems in almost all my races, so I got a bit worried. I did not want this meeting to end with further disappointment", Beitske said.

On Saturday, she achieved a brilliant victory in the second final race, about 6 seconds ahead of her pursuer. She also set the best lap time at an average of almost 100 km/h.

Sunday was the perfect day. After setting the best lap time during the warm-up session, Beitske Visser managed to improve her times even more with her second pole position of the weekend. "Then the two finals went perfectly. I had the race under control. Another positive aspect was that I managed my tyres at best, unlike other drivers who had much worn tyres. I am very happy I won again, and three times, not just once! The season is still long I am going to do everything I can to make it again to the podium. I know it will be more difficult in KZ1, where the level is very high, but my motivation is real". Beitske announced she will be at the last round of the BNK Karting Series in August, in Genk, Belgium.

The Future is Fast Approaching

B like Belgium, N like Netherlands and L like Luxembourg: this is the meaning of BNL Karting Series, which mostly gathers drivers from these three countries. "It is always interesting to get to know other drivers", Beitske commented. "And what is more, the Ostricourt circuit is interesting and despite my busy calendar, I liked racing in this event. And for once, I did not have to travel very far from where I live". Indeed, Beitske has criss-crossed Europe over the last few weeks, but not just for karting. She has had the opportunity to try a racing car during some very promising tests. Although the Dutch girl is focussed on her next races, she never forgets to prepare for the future, too...
