'A' Grade & Internationals Now Eligible For NSW Closed Titles

A new policy has been made to allow ‘A’ grade drivers to enter TaG Sportsman in the NSW Closed State Titles. Below is the AKA (NSW) press release. The NSW Closed Titles take place at Griffith on 8-10 July. Event details on the club's website HERE.

All “A” Grade drivers and invited International Drivers will qualify to run in the Sportsman Premier Tag 125 which will be run co-jointly with Sportsman Tag 125 Light and Heavy classes. 1st place only will be awarded to Sportsman Premier Tag 125 class.

This will allow us to separate “A” and “B” licence holders and award 1st , 2nd & 3rd place trophies to each licence group.

The first “A” home in the Premier class wins Premier Tag Class and the 1st “B” Grade home wins Tag class.

We believe this will create more interest in class and gives the “B” Grade licence holder the chance to win a Closed State Title. It further cements the principle of qualifying for these events.

It will allow New South Wales to be different from other States, allow International drivers the ability to compete in New South Wales and acknowledges “A” Grade licence holders.
