Team Adrenaline Stars At Mildurapress release Close racing, bumper crowds and stellar conditions is what Adelaide based Team Adrenaline were faced with at last weekends, North West State Titles in Mildura in country Victoria, with the entire team setting themselves in the top 5 and for Aaron Wilamowski and Leigh Cocker, claiming wins in their categories ensuring a successful weekend across the board. With the opening day being run according to a twilight format, the opening two heats occurred during the day, while the remaining two were under lights. It was a challenge for the Adrenaline team to become accustomed to the changing conditions, however their professionalism shone through. While the pre-final and final were run on the Sunday, the variations faced did not challenge the team as they pressed on to continue the success. Both Leigh Cocker and Aaron Wilamowski had simply faultless drives across the weekend, capitalising on their strong starts, they were simply unchallenged when it came to the final. After just one visit to the track, Leigh blasted out from the blocks and his Arrow Kart never missed a beat, with his pace being untouchable to the competition. However for Aaron Wilamowski, having never been to the track before, some pre-event homework along with a dedicated early run saw him soon make the track his own, with the DR Sports Max being admired by his opposition, as the speed for Wilamowski saw him leave the remaining Karts in his wake. Following the event, Aaron said “It was just a perfect weekend, we made some slight tweaks to the steering geometry that only improved the Kart, and it’s a true credit to the entire team.” Further mention must also go to Josh Angus, who fought off mechanical issues to still provide a podium in the Junior Max category, despite challenging for the lead, the problems returned, eventually finishing in 3rd proving a true testament to his driving talent. Next Meeting: SGKC Open Meeting – Bolivar Raceway, Sunday 19th June |
