In Muro Leccese the WSK Euro Series is at its third and penultimate meeting in 2011. The fastest in the official timing of today were De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla KF1), Dreezen (Tony Kart-Vortex KZ1), Lundberg (Tony Kart-Vortex KZ2), Abreu (Tony Kart-Vortex KF2) and Boccolacci (Birel-BMB KF3).

The WSK Euro Series stops on the Adriatic coast. Straight from the Atlantic coast in Portimao, Portugal, where the previous round took place, the third event of the WSK Euro karting Series 2011, which is the sixth European series that WSK Promotion promotes and organizes, is now on the Adriatic coast. Situated in Muro Leccese (Lecce, Italy), in the proximity of Otranto beaches and cliffs, La Conca International Circuit hosts a crucial weekend in the rush for the ultimate success. The categories in the race are five: besides KF1, KF2, and KF3 with continuous clutch, the two classes with six gears KZ1 and KZ2 will perform in the same race but with separate ranking.

The fastest drivers of today. The first challenge of today was the official timing. In KF1 Dutch Nyck De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega) confirmed his good shape, gaining the best time in 46”152. Behind him, English Alex Albon (Intrepid-TM-Vega) and italian Flavio Camponeschi was respectively second and third. Tomorrow, KF1 will dispute the Superpole, before the start of the two qualifying heats and of the Final 1. In KZ1 Belgian Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) reinforced his leadership in the championship’s standing signing the pole position in 45”642, ahead of his team mate, Italian Marco Ardigò. French Jeremy Iglesias (Intrepid-TM-Vega) was classified in third position. The best time in KZ2 was signed by Sweden Douglas Lundberg (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), ahead of Italians Luigi Musio (Parolin-TM-Vega) and Mirko Torsellini (CRG-Maxter-Vega). Portuguese Francisco Abreu (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), the winner of the previous round in Portimao (P), was the fastest in KF2 with the time of 46”726. Behind him, Danish Christian Sorensen and Russian Egor Orudzhev (both on Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) was 2nd and 3rd. Surprising French Dorian Boccolacci (Birel-BMB-Vega) was the fastest in KF3 with the time of 47”317, ahead of British George Russell (Intrepid-TM-Vega). Dutch Max Verstappen (CRG-Parilla-Vega), the leader of KF3 standings, took the 3rd place.

WSK races and results live on the web and TV. Live broadcast of the Finals KZ1-KZ2, KF2 and KF3 on Rai Sport from Muro Leccese is scheduled on Sunday May 26, from 02:30 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. The complete final phase will be available in the web too, on the specialized site www.stopandgo.tv, which will stream live all the races from 01:30 p.m. until KF1 Final 2.
