Aussie Duo Ready For Laguna Secapress release Sydney's Sam Zavaglia and Adelaide's Mike Wayne arrive in the USA this week for the Corkscrew International Superstars of Superkarts at Laguna Seca. Zavaglia and Wayne have shipped their Honda RS250 powered Stockman MR2 Superkarts to the California for the long running highlight of the American season. The two have raced at the event before with Zavaglia finishing second in 2008 and Wayne third behind multiple Laguna Seca winner, four-time motorcycle world champion, Eddie Lawson. Zavaglia (right) is the lap record holder for Superkarts but is yet win the event, having stood on the podium three times. The pair will be racing against a top international field which includes Lawson and European Superkart champions Gavin Bennett and Malcolm Crowe. The Superkart race forms part of the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival, a round of the Rolex Sports Car Grand-Am series. It will be a quick turn-around for Zavaglia, the Sydney based racer having to fly straight home for the opening round of the Australian Superkart Championship, which begins on July 15 at Zavaglia's home track of Eastern Creek Raceway as part of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships.
