“The best thing is that I think there is still some more pace to come tomorrow, so it’s game on in terms of the championship.”

Behind the Queenslander came JAM Racing’s Adam Hughes. After qualifying for his first top five shootout of 2011 CRG veteran Jason Hryniuk finished third in the opening 15-lap encounter before crossing the line fifth in the final two. He will start third for tomorrow’s opening final.

Vodafone-backed Tony Kart driver Chris Hays had a trouble-free day and as a result will start on pole position tomorrow morning with fellow Queenslander Tyler Greenbury alongside him.

The second row of the grid tomorrow morning will be filled by Jordie Lindstron and Troy Woolston ahead of Jones and Sera, who failed to finish heat one due to an engine issue. Championship leader Scott Taylor will start seventh.

Sydney driver Joseph Mawson showed the Pro Junior (KF3) field a clean pair of heels today with victory in all three races.

Behind Mawson it was Brock Plumb and Jake Coleman who battled for second and third place ahead of Pierce Lehane.
