AKA Deletes The 'God' Rule

The Australian Karting Association has removed rule 6.02.2 from the AKA rules, effective immediately.

This rule, which allowed officials to change the race finishing order, has been known informally as 'The God Rule'.

It has in the past seen competitors awarded the position behind where they actually finished the race due to another competitor being reinstated ahead of them post-race.

The NKC approved the deletion by majority vote:
YES: QLD, NSW, VKA, NT
NO: TAS, SA, WA

The request for 6.01.3 to be deleted was rejected by majority vote:
YES: QLD, NSW, NT
NO: VKA, TAS, SA, WA

Importantly, rule 6.02.5 remains, allowing officials to impose a place penalty.
