Hart Heads Back To Australia For Rotax Nationals

press release

New Zealand’s Josh Hart has returned from Europe to compete in the upcoming Rotax Nationals at Geelong Kart Club, Victoria for Intrepid Australia.

Hart is one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed young drivers and over the past few years has achieved international success racing and working for factory teams including the world dominating Intrepid factory in Italy.

Ensuring Rotax Light will be the class to watch, Hart’s addition to the team will put a field of the very best drivers on the track together to race.  Hart will join in-form Intrepid pilots Tyler Greenbury, Josh de Maio and Brad Jenner in their quest to clean sweep the class.

Hart’s prior experience racing and working for factory Intrepid is also planned to give the team a winning edge.

“We are thrilled to have Josh back from Europe for this event and believe it will be a great influence for the team.  He’s achieved a great deal including three-time NZ champion and racing at five Max Challenge World Finals, last year going so close and finishing with a 2nd place after poling throughout qualifying,” said Intrepid Australia’s Ken Bensley.

“Josh has been instrumental in working with Intrepid and securing 2nd at the World Cup for Jeremy Iglesias, Nelson Piquet Jnr at the Vegas Supernats and with teen sensation Bietske Visser who won the WSK Masters Series in 2010.”

“It will be a great opportunity to introduce our Intrepid drivers to Josh and for them to get an insight into his race craft capabilities and experiences and for us to gather any additional technical advice” said Ken.

Hart will return to Europe to continue to work with Intrepid satellite team based in Poland after the event.

“I haven’t spent a lot of time in the seat recently,” said Hart, “but I will be putting time in at the track in the weeks leading up to the event to build up my race fitness.”

“It’s been great to get back and spend time with the family in New Zealand and my brother Fraser will also be attending to spanner and support me at Geelong.  I’m looking forward to a great event with the team.”

In Rotax Heavy, Intrepid will look to top drivers Paul Rodgers, Troy Woolston and Queensland brothers Trent and Lane Moore to finish the year strong.  CC Racing pilot Paul Rodgers is at second on the Rotax Rankings followed by Troy Woolston (3rd CC Racing) and Lane Moore (4th KAOS Karting) all are hoping that they are still within striking distance of the one spot available to attend the World Finals on behalf of the class.
