Bulgarians Take 3 Out Of 4 In SEEKZ

from CIK-FIA

Created in 2004 specifically for Karting, the FIA South-East European Zone (SEEKZ) regularly organises its Zone Championship over 3 to 4 events per season. The Zone territory includes Greece, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria (these four countries being entrusted with the co-ordination of the regional activities in turn on a yearly basis), plus Moldavia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro.

The SEEKZ Championship is based on three CIK-FIA categories (KF2, KF3 and KZ2) and also includes a Mini class.

The 2011 edition was organised over 4 stages. Bulgaria hosted the first round on the Haskovo circuit, and the competition continued in Romania on the Bucharest track, and then in Turkey, at Korfez, before ending in Greece, near Athens. Each event comprised 4 races, and all the results have been counted to draw up the final classification.

Bulgarian Drivers proved to be the greediest as they landed the titles in three out of the four categories thanks to Mishel Georgiev (KZ2), Stefano Lovchaliev (KF2) and Pavel Lefterov (KF3). In the Mini class, victory went to a Turkish duo composed of Cetin Yigit (1st) and Luca Unsal Can (2nd).
