News From Coffs Harbour

The Coffs Harbour Kart Club, home to the 2012 NSW State Championships, will be holding the club's final race meeting for the year this weekend.

"We are hoping to have as many people as possible turn up for a race" the club's Troy Brown informed KartSportNews.

"We have decided to reduce the entry fee to $40 across the board as it is our last meeting for the year, so let’s have some fun."

"Track extensions are still in full swing with the council approving an extension to our lease till 2022... and quotes and designs are almost finalised.

"The AKA National Track Inspector, Tom Nipperess, was here on the weekend going through the designs and safety features and has basically given us a tick to submit our proposal.

The proposed new layout has been mowed into the grass to give karters a clearer idea of the changes when they arrive this weekend.

The club also extends congratulations to:

  • Bradley Moody 1st NSW State Titles Clubman Super Heavy
  • Dale Corbett  2nd NSW State Titles Rotax Light (nice drive to come off almost last in the final)
  • Thomas McDonald 2nd NSW State Titles DD2 Rotax
