Lindstrom Joins Vemme Kart For Vegas Supernats

Jordie Lindstrom will join Italian chassis manufacturer Vemme Kart in its assault on the SKUSA Supernationals XV at the Casino Rio, Las Vegas, next month.

Team manager and founder of Vemme Kart, Vince Mandarino, chose Jordie after watching him closely through the CIK Stars of Karting series and numerous other Australian events.

“Jordie is no doubt a talent and shows tremendous speed and dedication to his racing" Mandarini informed KartSportNews.

"I watch Jordie regularly and believe he has the right pedigree to give our team a very good shot at success against the professional drivers in the Superpro class."

Mandarino is already a winning tuner at the event. His son Lorenzo won the Superpro ICC class in 2005. The Vemme team has previously done very well at the Las Vegas event and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this years race. Jordie will pilot the Vemme 'Omega' chassis.

“I couldn't ask for much more. The team's preparation has been really good, I have full confidence in the Vemme chassis and the team has done really well in the past at Vegas" Lindstrom said.

"Vemme has sourced some strong motors. It is nice knowing that when I turn up I will be hitting the track with the best equipment available. It is a dream come true to race in the Superpro class, it is going to be surreal competing against multiple world champions and famous drivers from around the world. However, as soon as we hit the track it will be just another race. I will give it my absolute best and hopefully we come away with a really good result for the Vemme kart team”

At this stage, Lindstrom's Vemme drive would appear to be a one-off as he races DR Kart in Australia.

In related news, Vemme Kart has just recently established an Australian importer, Darren Day's Elite Kart Racing in Melbourne. Chassis and a stock of spare parts for the blue karts are expected to arrive soon.
