Kostecki Brothers Prepare For USA Debut

press release

For West Australian based brothers Kurt and Jake Kostecki, a National based title in Australia may seem quite a large accomplishment, but next month, both Kurt and Jake will travel to the annual Super Nationals event held in Las Vegas as they seek to put themselves amongst the world’s best Karters.

The Super Nations15 event will take place on a temporary Karting track, developed at the Rio-All Suite Hotel Car Park in Las Vegas, from the 16th to 20th of November.

In light of the opportunity to race overseas, the Kostecki brothers have obtained a special permit in order to test their new engines and tyre compounds in preparation for races in fields with in excess of 80 entries, which is a tremendous step from the current categories of around 25.

Kurt will contest the TAG Juniors Class which is a Restricted Leopard at 145kgs with a Kosmic Chassis, while Jake will be competing in the TAG Cadets Class which is a Vortex Mini Rok at 108kgs with a Kosmic Chassis.

Kurt states, “We're looking forward to racing with the faster motors because we haven't really raced anything with this much horsepower,” further adding, “it really is a once in a lifetime chance for us to compete in such an event.”

This event will also give both Kurt and Jake the chance to put their talent onto the world scene, and is an excellent opportunity to conclude a big years racing, and with yet another full calendar planned for 2012, this particular race will be a huge boost of confidence to be able to race amongst the best Karters from around the globe.

“All of this would not have been possible without the immense support of both our family and sponsors, Jake and I are immensely appreciative of all the support we have had,” with Kurt further stating, “We would like to thank Dad for making all of this happen, Gary Light for helping us with everything and our sponsors Alloysteel International and Arcoplate.”

“Jake and I are consistently on the website looking to see how many days there are to go, the excitement is definitely building,” Kurt concluded.
