Larkin's Junior Award

Seven-year old Sean Larkin from the Eastern Lions Kart Club was presented with the club's 'Best First Year Driver' award for 2011 - although being presented the award in a wheelchair was not the way he wanted to finish the year.

Larkin fractured both bones in his lower left leg in an unlucky collision in the Midget class at the recent Vic Closed Titles at Swan Hill.

With several podiums and a win at club level in only his 5th month of karting, Sean's enthusiasm for the sport remains strong and he is more determined to return for the 2012 season with a different approach.

With his 8th birthday still many months away, Sean has plenty of years ahead in the Midget class to fine tune his driving style and the strong speed that's been growing with each month.

The Larkins would like to thank the Murray family for their direction and help, and Mike Donnison for all the smiles on this young kids face.
