No Factory Arrow Team For 2012

Arrow will not be fielding a factory race team in 2012. The Australian manufacturer has changed its strategy for this year, allocating more resources to a much bigger Arrow Rewards Program rather than the race team.

While the factory team and Arrow transporter will be absent from the pits, the company will still have official representation at the big events.

Arrow will have a technical support crew on hand to assist Arrow drivers at CIK Stars of Karting rounds, the Rotax Pro Tour, State and National Championships, plus selected state level series that will be confirmed through the year.

“We are committed to rewarding the success of our Arrow karting family like never before” Arrow’s marketing manager, Steve Johnson, said in a communication to dealers.

“We are focussing on providing better one-on-one service at the track. Bart Price, Darren Hossack & Adam Klunyk not only have over eleven Australian titles but many years of experience and knowledge across all racing categories, tracks and conditions.

“In addition to this, David Sera, a twelve time Australian champion and more recently 2nd at the World Rotax Final, will be available for driver support and mentoring during 2012.

“We believe that taking this approach will allow us to spend more time at the track focusing and supporting a larger number of Arrow drivers.”

While the factoy won't have a team, there are likely to be plenty of dealer supported drivers at the majority of key events across the country. These will come from Arrow dealers such as CC Racing, MKC, J&A Tuning, Pro Karting, Extreme Karts, Kart 1 Racing, Karting World, Stable Karting, KAOS Karting, Pacific Kartsport, Flat Out Karts, Revenge Racing, Kustom Karts, Kart Equip etc.

Arrow's star driver, David Sera, will be entered and run by a dealer, but at which events and when is yet to be finalised, pending his other racing commitments.

“Arrow is extremely proud of currently leading the manufacturers Cup in the Rotax Pro Tour and we are committed to winning this prestigious crown in 2012" Johnson added.

"With a bit more luck we could have fared better at the recent round and had Brendan Nelson sidelined for DD2, but we look forward to Brendan back in the seat at his home track in round 3.”
