The Saturday morning practice was hampered by light rain making the track wet and treacherous for the inexperienced visitors to the Mount Gambier track.

Many drivers struggled to get negotiate the corners spinning out on many occasions but luckily the weather cleared and the track dried out for the commencement of racing. Two heats were raced on the Saturday and two heats on the Sunday.

Cadets saw a field of 11 take to the track.  Jackson Rees, Amee Blair and Jack Hutchins took first, second and third respectively.  Troy Moreland competed in his first big meeting and gained some invaluable experience coming ninth.
