Industry - Aaron Rintoul has been appointed a Victorian distributor for Energy Corse Racing Karts. Trading under the Kerbrider banner, Altona-based Rintoul will offer product and trackside service for the Italian kart. “I’m very pleased to have Aaron on board. He has got the exceptional level of knowledge, experience and skills befitting of the Energy Brand" said importer Adam Graham.

Mixed Event - The opening round of the "Kings of KZ2" series will run at Winton alongside the Victorian Superkart Club's club round on May 13. There will also be an "Open" class running to AKA spec engine and chassis rules, with the exception of tyres which are open (though restricted to one set, +1). Event - There will be $1000 cash, to be drawn randomly from the entrants PER CLASS, at the Bairnsdale Open on June 3. "Our major promotors of our event are Peter Dullard Ford and Shane Steinholdt of SS Auto Wholesalers, and as a result of theirs and others sponsorship, we are offering $11,000 prize money" club Secretary Darryl Crowley informed KartSportNews. Legend - Michael Schumacher talks about karting in the current (April) issue of F1 Racing magazine. The former champ is still a regular karter and said he was just happy to be able to keep up with the young 'kids' who race the top level in karting today. “Most (of the friends he goes karting with) are retired kart drivers or mechanics running their own team, and I'm racing against their sons" he said. Special Event - There are plenty of prizes at Friday night's Rotax Pro Tour dinner & charity auction, including Limited Edition 'Jason Richards Memorial' Rotax suits (below).
