Industry - Lotus Karts are now in Australia. West Australian Lloyd Bilick is the Australian distributor for the black machines via his Kommitted Motorsport organisation. The karts made their Aussie debut at the weekend's Carnival of Karts meeting at Cockburn, taking a strong one-two in Sportsman 125 Heavy with Brad Fitch and Bilick.
Superkarts - Entries will soon close for the first round of the 2012 Australian Superkart Championships at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The event, for the 250 and 125cc Gearbox classes, takes place on May 26-27. Entries close next Tuesday, May 8. Friday practice is available at additional cost. Round 2 is at Queensland Raceway on August 10-12.
