Preview:  8th Annual “Nepean Nationals”

press release

Local Hawkesbury District business, Wescranes, proudly presents the  8th annual “Nepean Nationals” being hosted by the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club this Sunday at the Nepean Motorsport Complex located on Rickards Road Castlereagh .WESCRANE LOGO

The Wescranes organization has been corporate partners  of the NSWSKC for numerous years and their relationship with the club is still strong as they are the naming sponsor this year of the KT Heavy Class and also this race meeting.

The club and its members greatly appreciate the support they receive form the Wescranes organization and the Hart Family and hope this weekends meeting will do them justice .

It is hard to believe that Sunday will be the 1st of July and the club only has 1 championship round in the books, such has been the horror start to the season with no less than 5 dates cancelled due to the weather.

The bad start to the season will see the club have a very congested back half of the year with the committee being able to renegotiate dates for the lost rounds.

This meeting is round 5 of the championship season and this weekend will see 6 classes battle it out on the super fast long track utilized by the club during the winter months.

This meeting will also see the newly crowned NSW State Champions on track displaying proudly their blue plates for the first time.

Another feature of this meeting is that it is round 3 of the interclub challenge between the NSWSKC and the CCSKC where drivers will not only be chasing points in the season long championship but will be attempting to gain as many points possible in the challenge which has its grand final on the 15th July at the Gosford  Showground.

All the stars and their karts will be present and the expectation of over 70 very talented speedway karters tearing up the Nepean Raceway is one that a lot of speedway fans are planning on coming out to watch .

The racing at the Nepean Motorsport Complex on Rickards Road, Castlereagh is scheduled to start at 10am.

There is a full canteen facility for all your eating and drinking requirements throughout the day.

The NSWSKC would like to acknowledge and thank all their corporate partners for their continued support throughout 2012:

Hopping’s Mowers, On Track Automotive, Fire Service Plus , Wescranes , ST Signs & Designs, PaFormance Motors, Tyre Power Sydney Speedway, Full Scope Electrical Services, C&A Mobile, Hoosier Tire Australia
