Arrow X2 Kart Dominates In The Top End

press release

After its first up success at the recent CIK Stars of Karting round the all new Arrow X2 CIK kart proved again to be the front runner at the Northern Territory State Championships held last weekend. As this is the lead up event for the 50th Australian Championships our expectations are very high.

The Arrow X2 came home first & second in the hotly contest Leopard Heavy class. Brendan Nelson was on fire after his dominating win at Ipswich with pole position in qualifying but come Sunday the ten times Australian champion Matt Wall “the wily old fox” secured another state title to add to his ever impressive collection. The unlucky Toowoomba flyer Brendan Nelson had to settle for second but this gave the new Arrow X2 a fantastic One-Two result.

Sam Dicker fought hard throughout the weekend but had to contend with third in the Rookies class continuing his great start to the 2012 season.

In both Junior National classes the Arrow karts proved once again to be the kart of choice. In Junior Light Nikola Mitic was the pole sitter and unfortunately a first lap incident shuffled him back to seventeen. William Hawkes drove through for a great victory with Mitic recovering after a great drive back to second. The ever consistent Damon Strongman coming home third, Brodie Green in a stunning drive from sixteenth to fourth and young gun Tyler Morrison finished fifth.

Junior National Heavy saw Luke Marquis dominate the weekend qualifying on pole and driving to an impressive victory, Damon Strongman once again had to contend with third place with Nick Rowe coming home in fourth position.

In Clubman Light, Matthew Waters battled hard but had to contend with second, Andrew Martin coming home third and Jordan Ford fifth against some quality opposition. Clubman Heavy we achieved a great result with Shay Mayes winning this prestigious class with the evergreen Matt Wall backing his Leopard Heavy victory with second position.

Queenslander Shane Leahy absolutely dominated the Clubman Over 40s field all weekend and showed the field a clean pair of Arrow heals in the final. Matthew Waters continued his dominance in the Senior National class with a great victory and Nicholas Ellen came home for a well-deserved third place.

Arrow karts would like to inform all Arrow drivers and customers that Bart Price & Adam Klunyk will be at the Nationals from Thursday to assist with Technical support.

Good Luck to all Arrow drivers his weekend! Remember win a green plate in a current spec* Arrow kart and you could win $20,000.
