Lehane Signs With Exprit

In what would appear to be an unforseen move, Pierce Lehane has switched teams mid-season. The NSW driver will now suit up in the purple and white colours of Exprit for all classes of racing in which he competes. For several years Lehane has enjoyed immense success on CRG, including at the AKA Nationals just last weekend where he won Leopard Light.

The official announcement from Exprit Australia is below.

press release

New South Wales teenage karting prodigy Pierce Lehane has today signed with Exprit Australia.

Joining William Yarwood as Brand Ambassador, Lehane will make his debut in the purple machine at next week’s Queensland round of the Rotax Pro Tour in Warwick.

“I am excited about my move to Exprit. This will be a new challenge, but one that I am looking forward to” said Pierce, who was recently crowned Australian Champion at the 2012 Australian National Sprint Kart Championships in Darwin.

“It is a great opportunity to promote the Exprit brand around Australia, and one that I am extremely excited about.”

As an ambassador of the brand, Pierce will be available to the Exprit community offering technical support and advice. IKD’s Donald Stevens is just as excited about the new arrangement…

“Pierce is an exceptional young talent, and a driver that we are very happy to have on-board. His international experience shows through here in Australia, and we hope the new partnership can assist Pierce’s preparation for his future overseas commitments,” says Donald.

Round 6 of the Rotax Pro Tour will be held at Warwick’s Sandy Creek Raceway in Queensland on 20th – 22nd July, where we wish Pierce and all of our Exprit drivers the best of luck.
