“The Club has been fielding enquires from as far away as South Australia. We’ve had great interest coming from all over the country,” said Mount Isa Go Kart Club Secretary Bernadette Wise.

An action packed high intensity sport, dirt track racing is renowned for showcasing plenty of enormously talented riders who invariably provide loads of excitement on the track, particularly when championship honours are at stake.

The Mount Isa Go Kart Track delivers a challenging course with the Club carrying out a long list of improvements over the last few months to ensure competitors and spectators are delivered the best hospitality possible.

Categories for the National Championships, range from juniors to seniors, with even the youngest of racers unable to resist the call of racing at the National Dirt Track Championships. Competitors as young as seven are set to compete at the event in the Cadets support category.

Spectators are also encouraged to come along and partake in the thrills and excitement the weekend promises with food and bar facilities available.
