Karting News Briefs From Around The World

Karting news briefs:

  • Videos of all the pre-finals and finals from 2012 US Rotax Max Grand Nationals are now available to view online. They can be found on the Kart Racing Network site HERE.

  • Update from Joseph Mawson in France - "Finally arrived in France. Just chillin out at the motel, catching up with friends over the Internet. Will be heading to the track on Thursday to catch up with the Topkart team as well as prepare our karts for the weekend :) "

  • Gippsland Kart Go Kart Club member Troy Alger (below) attended the Gippstar Annual Awards Night last month and received a trophy as the 'Junior Gippstar of the Month' for November last year. The awards night is held by the Gippsland Sports Academy who select a junior & senior category winner every month from nominations presented to them for high achieving Gippsland athletes.


  • The Victorian Karting Association will be running a Junior Development Camp at Oakleigh on September 24-25 (Monday/Tuesday of Sept school holidays). It is open all C and D grade Juniors, Cadets and Rookies. The camp is designed to be a fun couple of days to help junior drivers to learn the fundamentals of karting, general fitness and drugs in sport, while making new friends.   • The Mayor of Dubbo, Councillor Mathew Dickerson, will attend the 2012 Rotax Nationals on Saturday 1st September. Councillor Dickerson will visit various teams, meet with drivers and make an appearance in the on-track commentary box from 1:30pm onwards.
