Lenzo/Luxor Kart Crowned King of the Hill

press release

King of the Hill is one event the Lenzo Kart Australia team won't forget for a long time. Held by the Hurricane Go Kart Club on the 25th August, the Lenzo team entered over 20 karts across a majority of the classes. Coming into the competition with a strong team spirit in both the pits and on the track, the day showcased the extraordinary skill coming up through the drivers.

The day got off to a great start with Anthony Martin qualifying in pole position for KZ2. Driving his Mizar Lenzo kart, Martin showed why many believe he is becoming one of the top KZ drivers in Australia. Following this Luke Gabin carried on the days success, grabbing pole in Sportsman 125 Light just ahead of Ethan Sutherland, ensuring Lenzo and Luxor karts were in the front row. Aaron Grossman wowed the crowd in his Junior Light Ballistic chassis, qualifying on the 3rd row in the tough junior field.

As the day continued, so did the champion sportsmanship and professional standard. Luke Gabin continued his great driving to take a clean sweep in Sportsman 125 Light, with fellow Lenzo kart driver Ethan Sutherland on the podium, claiming 3rd position. As the final race of the night came up, Martin, who started 21st on the grid due to an earlier DNF, wowed the crowed by crossing the line in the final position of 3rd. The King of KZ2, Jake Klarich, drove home the team, crossing the line in number one position with his Lenzo Kart and LKE engine. True to Hurricane style, an unexpected firework display sealed the event as one of the Lenzo Kart Australia's best so far.

The day had an almost state title atmosphere to it, and special thanks go out to the Hurricane Go Kart for organising such a great event, which is clearly getting bigger every year.

Congratulations to all Lenzo and Luxor drivers, all showing consistently great driving. With the Western Australian State titles coming up, King of the Hill cemented the fact that Lenzo drivers are the ones to beat.
