Media Alert - Stars of Karting Final Round In Melbourne

Australia’s top kart racers will be in action at Melbourne’s Todd Road circuit this weekend for the final round of Australia’s elite series, the CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol EDGE.
Competitors in the CIK Stars of Karting Series use identical equipment to that used in the European and World Championships and will reach speeds in excess of 130km/h around the Port Melbourne circuit.

With a national championship, and an opportunity to compete in an overseas event, on the line in each of the Pro categories - Pro Light (KF1), Pro Gearbox (KZ2) and Pro Junior (KF3) - the action will be intense.
Former Champions of the CIK Stars of Karting Series include V8 Supercar Champion Jamie Whincup, Mark Winterbottom, Ryan Briscoe, Michael Caruso, Tim Slade, Troy Hunt, Andrew Thompson, Phillip Scifleet and Christian Jones.
