Roland Maréchal was found lifeless in his home last week, at the age of 65. The Belgian will forever remain one of the most emblematic kart tuners of his time.

In the 1980’s and 90’s he had indeed accumulated world titles (13 in all), to such an extent that the small Karting world had nicknamed him “the sorcerer”.

His son Olivier is now taking care of his heritage by tuning the Kosmic team’s Vortex engines, which he has been managing for approximately ten years.

The CIK-FIA offers its deepest condolences to Olivier and his family, as well as to all the friends Roland had kept in the Karting community.
