VALE: Jack Irvine

It is with sadness that the Australian Karting Association acknowledges the tragic passing of Bairnsdale Kart Club Member Jack Irvine. 

Irvine, 15, was one of 40 attendees at the Junior Development Camp at Oakleigh, Victoria last Monday when he suffered breathing difficulties.  After being attended to at the circuit by medical personnel he was transported to the Monash Medical Centre where he sadly passed away on Sunday, September 30.

The Australian Karting Association offers its condolences to the Irvine family and friends.

The karting community are asked to come together to celebrate the life of Jack and his time in our sport at the Oakleigh Go-Kart Club next Wednesday (October 10) from 6:30pm where Motorsport Minister, Mark Beadman, will be in attendance.

The Australian Karting Association will post funeral details for members when they become available.

It is with saddest regrets that our friend and club member Jack Irvine passed away 30/09/2012. I am sure that all members of the Bairnsdale Kart Club, current and past would pass on their sincere condolences to Glen and Julie Irvine and family and offer their support in this tragic time of grief. Rest In Peace Jack, you will always be remembered.
