press release

FMA Motorsport are pleased to announce that ex British Kart and Formula Ford Champion Darren Burke will race for the team at the “Dash for Cash” in Kalgoorlie.

Burke (right), a current competitor and factory driver for Juno Sports cars in the Speed Euro Series, is delighted to be given the opportunity to compete in Pro Leopard in Australia.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to race against the best in Australia and I would like to thank Andrew and Mike from FMA Motorsport in Perth for giving me the chance to do that" he said.

"Having returned to the UK recently from a weeks testing in Bunbury with FMA, I feel we can achieve a great result in Pro Leopard.”

Another star driver in KZ2 is Lee Michener who will debut for the Perth-based team following his success at round 4 and 5 of the CIK Stars of Karting championship, where he finished second on both occasions.

Also lining up for the team are Andrew Freeman in Restricted 125 Light and David Nairn in Restricted 125 Heavy.

The team are delighted with the progress they have made with the Formula K chassis and look forward to working closely with Jace Lindstrom from Pro Karting, who is the importer of the Formula K product, over the race weekend.
