Tids and tads from around the tracks:

  • In addition to the four drivers in TaG Cadet (see yesterday's News), Australia will have four competitors in the TaG Junior class at this years SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. Thomas Howe, Thomas Schou, Jake and Kurt Kostecki will all drive Kosmic chassis for the J3 Competition team. A preview and entry list for the TaG Junior class, which boasts a superb field with many internationals, is on the ekartingnews website HERE. The site has established an official events page HERE. Previews for other classes will be added in the coming days - as will the names of other Aussies competing at the iconic carpark event.

  • Canada-based UK Rotax ace Ben Cooper will wear a special livery helmet at this years Rotax MAX Grand Finals. This year, Cooper will race DD2 for Team Canada - which explains a Pom having maple leaf decoration!

  • Applications for the Board Directors for the Australian Karting Association close this Friday. More info on the AKA site HERE.

  • V8 Supercars driver Karl Reindler will be at the Griffith kart track this Saturday at the third round of the Riverina Cup. The local Fair Dinkum Sheds dealer is sponsoring the event and has enlisted the former karter to help publicise the meeting. Reindler will also have his demo car at the track, the club's Simon Mezzomo informed KartSportNews.
