Breifly, briefly...
- The Oakleigh Kart Club will split the Sportsman 125 Restricted class into Light and Heavy divisions for their 2013 club day race meetings. The category has experienced continued growth at the club throughout 2012 (nearing grid capacity for some events) and the change will see more karters able to race closer to a competitive weight.

- The World Motor Sport Council of the FIA has approved the principle of concluding an agreement with WSK Promotion s.r.l for the promotion of the CIK-FIA European and World Championships from 2013 onwards. The WSK already run their own successful international championships for KF and KZ. As yet, no official word from either WSK or the CIK-FIA.
