press release

Juniors run their J-Max karts with standard sprint kart body work plus a few very minor changes to bring them in line with Superkart regulations. That way, juniors may continue to race their various sprint meetings as well as get the experience and thrill of racing on full-size motor racing circuits.

The dates are:

Round ONE – May 12, Winton Raceway
Round TWO – June 15, Phillip Island
Round THREE – July 20, Calder Park Raceway
Round FOUR – August 17, Phillip Island

The cost is $950 which includes entry to all four rounds, your CAMS licence, plus a set of Dunlop slicks.

"Race dates have been set around major sprint meetings so as not to conflict and allow entrants to continue in their respective series" said Rod Clarke, series convenor and Vice President of the Victorian Superkart Club.

"Last years Championship was contested by entrants from three states; Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria demonstrating the real interest in moving forward to an ongoing motorsport career."
