  • Victorian karter Bella Thomas has been getting acquainted with the Hyper PRO Racer prior to her test drive of the machine. She and Joey Mawson were the two winners of the 'Win a Drive' competition that was open to AKA drivers Australia wide. More about Bella on the Hyper website HERE.


  • Thomas Randle will join the Evans Motorsport Formula Ford program for 2013. The highly successful karter will be part of the team's "Young Guns", joing Chelsea Angelo and Liam McAdam. "We've been watching his progress pretty closely and we've been talking for a while so it's great to have Thomas on-board for 2013" said team boss, Josh Evans. "He had a test with us last month and he has great feel for the car. We're looking forward to working with him next year." Randle will drive a new Mygale chassis in the Victorian FF series.

  • Junior American karter Devlin DeFrancesco will join Rubens Barrichello and Tony Kanaan in a three-kart team that will look to stand atop the podium in the famous Granja Viana 500 karting classic in Brazil this weekend. The start will make him the youngest ever to compete in the iconic event, which features sprint karts with full bodywork - the compulsory version for 2012 is shown below.   • Soon after the official announcement by the AKA, Dunlop Kartsport published the following images and details on their facebook page about the tested SL6 tyres that will be used in the AKA Group 1 (TaG 125) classes for 2013-16:
