press release 17 March 2015

This Sunday the 22nd March at the Gosford Showground the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club will get their 2015 Championship season under way with the running of Round 2 of the Championship the “Central Coast Hustle” proudly sponsored by Bleeding Edge Computer Systems.
.
Due to consistent and heavy rain in February the first round of the season scheduled for the 22nd of February had to be cancelled and in turn disappointing a lot of speedway karters that had sat around bored all off season and who were itching to get racing.

The round sponsor for this meeting is Bleeding Edge Computer Systems, who are the Central Coast’s leading Online Computer Store and provide a number of services from custom building your computer system, website creation and hosting, software development and support and maintenance for your system. If you are in the need for any of the services they offer owners Victor and Trish are happy to give a no obligation free quote.

The 2015 season will be the 18th season of speedway for the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club and it is looking to be its biggest yet.

At the February practice day 58 karters were present to test all their new equipment and it is expected this Sunday upwards of 60>70 karts will do battle of the famous 303m showground track.

Extensive track work over the off season has paid dividends for the club and the track will provide multi lane racing for the 8 classes that are scheduled to do battle for early championship points.

The meeting will also be incorporating the newly formed Junior Super Series and the club is excited that a field of  20+ karts will be on hand to battle out in the heats and a B main for the all important 16 positions in the A main.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see speedway karts before why not come out to the Gosford Showground on Sunday 22nd and watch this spectacle.

Racing is due to start at 9.30am and full canteen facilities available during the day and for all food and drink needs.

The meeting is open to all licensed KA (Karting Aust.) drivers and we encourage and welcome all drivers to come and give it a go, once you do ... you’ll be back!
