  • Needs to be more of this - local promotion of the grass roots level of the sport. Well done to Albany City Kart Club for sticking some karts and members in the local Bunnings. Efforts like this give karting a face in the local community and hopefully procure some new members too!

  • The 2015 New Zealand National Karting Championships will be live streamed over the internet this Easter. There will be live coverage of all racing on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th from Manawatu Toyota Raceway in Palmerston North. Five cameras will be used and Australian Rotax Pro Tour commentator Liam Meegan will be part of the four-strong commentary team.   • Karting Australia yesterday issued a new version of the 2015 Karting Manual, which can be downloaded HERE. A list of the changes is below (page No, chapter ref, subject of the change):



  • This years Australian Masters Games will be held in Adelaide from the 3rd to the 10th of October. A karting event will take place at the Barossa Kart Club's Robinson Park venue on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th. Various age groups (30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+) can compete across a number of the standard karting classes. The age requirement is determined as at 31 December 2015. Register for the games HERE.

  • Victorian karter Matthew Smith has announced he'll be racing KZ2 in the 2015 Australian Championship. Matty tested his new mount at Geelong recently. "This is the fastest, busiest and most intense kart I've ever driven" he wrote on Facebook. "A massive, massive thank you to mum and dad, who are the ones who have given me the opportunity to race one of these absolutely insane machines!"
