Rotax EVO Battery Cover Installation Guide

Australian Rotax distributor IKD has advised that the new Rotax EVO Battery Cover (Part No. 201 600) must be installed correctly to avoid any electrical shortages caused by vibration damage to the wiring harness.

Please follow these simple steps:

STEP 1 (above): Make sure all wiring harness cables are NOT positioned between the Battery Cradle (Part No. 251 121) and Battery Cover (Part No. 201 600). Instead, the wiring harness cables should be positioned underneath the two prongs of the Battery Cradle (Part No. 251 121).

STEP 2: Align the two cut-outs of the Battery Cover (Part No. 201 600), with the two prongs of the Battery Cradle (Part No. 251 121) before pushing down and fixing by means of M6 x 16 allen screw at rear of Battery Cover.

"We kindly ask you to take notice of the above information. Electrical shortages of the wiring harness due to vibration damage from incorrect installation of the Battery Cover is NOT covered by the Rotax Manufacturer’s Warranty."
