Peter Gigis and Brock Rae were other first time championship winners in the senior ranks taking their wins in both TaG Restricted classes. Rae had an extremely consist championship campaign running in the top five in all final but his championship was really made at round 2 of the Go Kart Club of Victoria. A fourth place all but sealed his maiden state championship. Gigis was another to set up his championship win with consistent finishes, not finishing outside the top two in any of the first three rounds. Gigis took out fourth place at the final round to seal another maiden championship win.

Jay Hanson, Cody Donald and Dylan Hollis all added championship gold to their respective career tallies.

Hanson had a fight on his hands right into the final day with arch rival Emerson Harvey. Hanson showed why he had become champion with the Cadet 12 final being one of the races of the weekend! Hanson, with a last lap gasp took out the final round and the championship!

Donald and Hollis put in much more dominant performances. Donald won all but one race in the championship and clean swept the final round of the championship claiming back to back titles in the Junior National Heavy class.

Sera showed why he was one of the most successful karters in the game, clean sweeping all four races at the final round to take another championship.

Luciani had to fight all championship long with younger championship contender Leigh Nichoulau. Nichoulau had V8 Ute Championship commitment leaving a chance for Luciani to take the championship at the final round. Luciani stunned the karting world by clean sweeping the final round and the veteran added another state championship to his ever growing tally.

Arron Hindle took out the Victorian Closed Championship with Scott King right on his heels in TaG Heavy and this championship was no different! Hindle took out the opening two rounds with King fighting back in round three setting up a big finale between the two drivers. The South Australian champion gave it everything he had to take the title but Hindle held off all comers to clean sweep the final round and take out the championship.

Will Hawkes and Daniel Rochford took out the final blue plates in the 2015 championship. Hawkes had 28 other competitors to contend with at the final round and championship rival Brad Marsh gave it everything he had but Hawkes was able to hang on to take his first state title since moving to the senior ranks!

Rochford also had a battle on his hands with the championship going to the final round with championship rival James Sera also being in the hunt. Sera didn’t have his best weekend and a third in the final round was all that Rochford needed to add more championship gold to his karting tally.
