"Heat 1: we started pole for our first ever race at the track and we led the first lap before going back to 8th then coming back to 5th" he wrote on Facebook.

"Heat 2: we started from 2nd and was third out of turn one but we didn't have much chance for a win because our tyres were one whole race older than there's because they hadn't done a heat yet, but we still finished 5th!"

In the two main races he carded 8th and 2nd.

"(It) was an amazing race going from 1st to 2nd most laps! We should have won the race but I forgot to tune the carby so I had no power compared to everyone else, but was really great.

"So stoked. Can't thank the whole Kartronix team enough for all their effort and of course my favourite European mechanic Manolo Diaz!"

Aaron is now off to Italy to learn another new track for an Italian championship race this weekend.
