“When the opportunity came up to offer Todd a drive in one of our DPE Kart Technology supported KF2 entries, we were excited to make it happen.  He will bring some great attention to the KF2 class and certainly give the other boys in the Series a run”, said HDR Arrow Karts Team Manager, Craig Doyle.

Immediately on the pace in a test session this past weekend in Queensland at the Yatala based Team’s home track, Hazelwood was impressed with the power and hand operated front brakes of the 125cc direct drive kart.

Completing a number of sessions on the day with fellow HDR Arrow Karts Team mate and current Australian Kart Championship Series Points Leader, Scott Sorensen, Hazelwood got very comfortable with the IAME powered KF2 Kart and improved his lap times to within only a few tenths of Sorensen’s.

Currently racing for Matt Stone Racing in the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series, Hazelwood will compete in the upcoming Geelong round of the Australian Kart Championship with a special event livery matched to his iseek Communications V8 Supercar.

Hazelwood’s next immediate stop however is the Supercheap Autos Bathurst 1000 on 8 / 11 October, before re-joining the HDR Arrow Karts Team climbing back into the HDR Arrow Karts KF2 Kart seat on Friday 30 October for Australian Kart Championship official practice in Geelong.
