The first round of the 2016 AUSTRANS Victorian Country Series is approaching rapidly on February 13-14.
The series visits Cobden, Portland, Horsham, Warrnambool, Ballarat and Hamilton, attracting competitors from Metro Melbourne, Regional Victoria, and from South Australia.
We have a great field of 153 entered already a week out; join the pre-entries now to be part of the action and be eligible for some great prizes.
In 2016 the Victorian Country Series has a few key changes, including:
- Longer race distances (More time on track)
- More classes offered (Subject to consolidation rules)
- More points at final round (1604 max vs 1203 max)
- Best 5 rounds count for series points
- Progressive grids
We have a cavalcade of great sponsors in 2016 that allow us to put on a great show and make for a bumper year of prizes:
- AUSTRANS Container Services join us again as our primary sponsor- supporting the series enormously since 2012/2013.
We are very proud to have a long time series supporter in AUSTRANS.
- Kerbrider joins as as a platinum sponsors for 2016 - and will be supplying thousands of dollars worth of karting related prizes for the series and on the day.
The "Kerbrider of the day" will be a steward nominated prize awarded at each round to cadets, juniors and seniors
- KFC are another sponsor returning for their 3rd year, with the Portland, Hamilton, Horsham and Warrnambool stores supporting a great sporting event in the region
- RaceCulture join us for 2016 - and will be developing our Victorian Country Series new website
There are a heap of cool features in the pipeline - so stay tuned as we release the first version very soon.
- Remo Racing are kicking in great prizes for IAME classes. All KA3 and KA4 classes will be eligible for $200, $100 and $50 IAME vouchers at the end of the season
- Ballarat Bolts and Fastners are supporting Cadet 9 and 12 classes for the second time, with cash prizes for all 5 series places
- AllStar graphics are an integral part of our series and hard at work on the new VCS logo, T-Shirts and Banners
