Snow & Ice Halt WSK Super Master Series Round

  6 March 2016

Snow and ice has forced organisers to abandon the heat racing at the opening round of the WSK Super Master Series in Italy. A WSK press release said the sudden worsening weather condition in the province of Pavia made the racing conditions unsafe.

After qualifying was completed on Friday, a number of heats were raced on Saturday, but these will no longer count. Sunday's schedule will be pre-finals and Finals with grids based on the initial qualifying times.

Two Australian are competing at the event - Oscar Piastri (FA/Vortex) in OK-Junior and Marcos Flack (CRG/TM) in 60 Mini.

Piastri qualified 12th out of 64 juniors while Flack was 31st of 72 entries in 60Mini. New Zealand's Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart/Vortex) is 5th in KZ/KZ2.
